Robin Naughton, PhD

Dr. Robin Naughton is a user experience researcher, technologist, digital librarian, and educator with over 20 years of experience designing, developing and managing interactive products throughout all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and across multiple platforms (web, mobile, tablet, interactive whiteboard, etc.).

 As a user-centered researcher, Dr. Naughton is passionate about the role of research in the design and development of digital products, particularly designing information systems that respond to the needs of users.

Dr. Naughton holds a Ph.D. in Information Science from Drexel’s College of Computing and Informatics and an MA in English Literature from Brooklyn College, City University of New York (CUNY).

  • 2010: Computer-Human Interaction Mentoring Workshop (CHIMe) Scholarship – The CHIMe Scholarship (~$1200) covered travel and accommodations for CHIMe workshop, and registration at the CHI 2010 Conference in Atlanta, GA.
  • 2008 – 2011: Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Fellowship  (Institute of Museum & Library Services) – The IMLS Fellowship covers tuition, living expenses in the form of a stipend and research-related conference travel while pursuing a PhD in Information Studies at Drexel University College of Information Science and Technology.
